First of all RHODES is beautiful , one of the best places we have ever visited . During our stay on the island one day we hired a car from the car rental company located in our hotel Atlantica Aegean Blue and we started our family outing from Kolymbia and headed for the St. Nektarios Church located close to Archipoli village. Just outside the church stands a hollow plane tree that the children loved exploring—it felt like a natural hideaway! Nearby, there’s also a spring-fed stone fountain with fresh, cool water—perfect to stay refreshed.

Next, we visited the Seven Springs (Epta Piges). Nestled in lush greenery, this spot has a cool, peaceful atmosphere. We even walked through the small water tunnel—a delightful mini-adventure that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
After that, we continued to the Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes). Under the shaded canopy, we were greeted by the delicate flutter of butterflies all around. The cool, tranquil surroundings made this a particularly magical part of our day.
To round off the outing, we visited the nearby Farma of Rhodes Petting Zoo and Ostrich Farm. It was fascinating to see and interact with over 20 different species! We fed and took photos with ostriches, lemurs, camels, llamas, kangaroos, ponies, deer, porcupines, rabbits, Nigerian dwarf goats, and more. The kids were thrilled to feed the animals and observe their playful behaviors up close.
