We have been visiting Rhodes now since 2014 and, although we absolutely love our hotel, we LOVE to explore.
Every year we try to find something new: a road not travelled, new beach, panoramic view and we often succeed.
We've been incredibly fortunate in our choice of hire car company on the island. Back in 2014, a poor holiday company excursion resulted in a refund and we went straight to the car hire desk in the hotel, spoke to Kostas and hired a Suzuki Jimny for 3 days - it was the start of something beautiful...our love affair with Rhodes and new friends at Rodos Cars and the Atlantica Imperial. Every visit now is like coming home to family ❤️
I share not only some of the cars we've enjoyed during our stays but also some of the beauty spots. Not certain where they all are as many as time we have just stumbled upon them!!
One of the best things to do in the car is the entire loop of the island. We would go from Kolymbia, south down to Lindos, Lardos, Kiotari and Gennadi and then across to the west coast, sometimes stopping at Prasonisi before travelling north along the coast back up towards Monolithos, Kritinia, Soroni and cutting back inland along the wine roads to Psinthos and Afantou, usually taking 4-5 hours.
