On the second day of our holiday in Rhodes, we hired a car from www.rentacar-rhodes.com We made the reservation the evening before, and the next morning a really polite lady met us at the reception lobby of our hotel in Rhodes Town and delivered the car to us in less than five minutes. We were truly impressed with how fast the whole procedure was—top-class service overall.

Road Trip Through West Rhodes – From Ancient Kamiros to Monolithos

After that, we took our family on a tour of the western side of Rhodes. We started with Ancient Kamiros, which is definitely worth visiting for its historical atmosphere. Then we drove up to Kritinia. In Kritinia, you'll find convenient parking close to the castle, and from there you get an absolutely stunning view of the coastline.

After taking in that view, we headed down to Monolithos. Monolithos Castle also offers an amazing panorama, perfect for taking beautiful shots with your camera. There’s parking available along the hillside road leading up to it.

After exploring these sights, we stopped in the village of Apollona for a delicious meal at a local taverna called Yarenis. Finally, we headed back to Rhodes Town. It was a full day with lots of beautiful stops, easy parking at both castles, and plenty of stunning views.

We really enjoyed the experience, and returning the car was just as easy, we didn’t have to wait for the rental representative. We simply left the key at the reception desk, and they collected it from there!
